Samsung GX-1 digital SLR

This is totally unconfirmed (for now), but some pics have popped up online for the an unannounced new digital SLR from Samsung called the GX-1 that is supposedly a rebadged Pentax (or at least that's one of theories). Rebadging a Pentax wouldn't be a bad move for Samsung -- their point & shoot digital cameras haven't really impressed anyone.

That body is def. a Pentax *istD. I use one every day. But the lense is not from Pentax.

Samsung actually has a pretty good p&s for the price point that they are offered at. For first time digital camera buyers, i.e. your parents, its often more then enough to meet or exceed their expecations. I wouldn't write them off just yet.
Actually I love the pictures from my Samsung DC ... it's a combo Mp3 player model.

Yeah... Definately a Pentax body, looks the same as my *ist DL.
In contrast to #1, the lens does look like the Pentax one I have (standard 18-55mm included), cept with color differences (a blue band instead of green)...
Well, if you see other rumored pictures, the lens (for the new samsung DSLR) is Schneider Kreuznach. If Schneider really enters Pentax/Samsung mount, I do think samsung/pentax can easily beat the upcoming Sony/Konica Minolta.

I have to agree with Oshi, the lens looks very similar to the kit lens that comes with the camera. the 18-55 f3.5-5.6. But the not only is the band green on the pentax, the focusing and zooming rings have different groove patterns.
